Signs of Autumn

Everyday there are more signs of autumn appearing in the garden

late grapes are finally changing colour – nearly ready to eat

the apples are ready for picking

barberry berries are changing colour –

won’t be long before I can dye with them

leaves on the cherries are starting to change colour

and drift off in the breeze

soon the japanese maples will be a glowing red

a little mushroom had even appeared next to a stone bowl

and there are warm woolies on the needles for various little ones

I’m so lucky to have ready access to beautiful organic yarn here in NZ

http://www.treliskeorganic.com/

and I count my blessings as I work in the garden

knit in the evenings

and send out love to all those in need during these troubled times
