Mixing It Up

Sometimes I love to use a combination of Australian and New Zealand native plants in my work as they represent one aspect of my life – an Australian now living in New Zealand

in this case it is grevillea robusta (I have 4 in my back garden and some may think this a bit excessive given how big they grow)

and griselinia with which I am a bit obsessed at the moment

  1. Beautiful soft colours here Jo! Do the leaves and flowers of the Grevillea Robusta give the soft pinky/mauve shades or just the leaves? The flowers of the Robusta are a
    golden brownish colour! Interesting!!!
    Hugs, Suzy

  2. I only just missed your call yesterday Jo – maybe we can try for the weekend??!!

    • Hi Suzy
Weekend sounds good – just used the leaves of both in these pieces – GR flowers aren’t out at the moment – the fern like form is the GR and the pink is the griselinia

  3. gotta love that pink from Grisilinea….and the joy is, it’s so abundant and seems to love wool and felt as well as it loves silk. Such a huge range of colours from the one plant. Yum
